Project Brief

The Project lies in the Siwa River located at the Taplejung District of Nepal. The headworks is proposed on the left bank of Siwa river and powerhouse on right bank of Mewa river between elevation of 1629.51 m and 1452 m above mean sea level. The project is about 730 km road distance in North-East of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.

•    Updated Feasibility study completed
•    Detailed Engineering Design Substantially completed
•    Approval for Generation license in final stage.
•    Initial Environment Examination (IEE) study has been approved for 9.3 MW
•    Power Purchase Agreement for 9.3 MW signed with NEA on 5 September 2022
•    Geophysical Investigation works completed
•    33 kV pole installation works for construction power ongoing
•    Track opening of access road ongoing
•    Lowa Khola RCC bridge construction is ongoing
•    Design of bailey bridges on Headworks and powerhouse completed; Abutment works will start shortly
•    A bid for civil work has been submitted
